The Athletic’s Celtic correspondent Kieran Devlin has heaped praise on Kristoffer Ajer amid a claim from Tore Pedersen – the centre-back’s agent – revealing that his client will leave the club this summer.Â
Pedersen said that his client will “not extend” and “disappears” from Celtic Park at the end of the season when speaking to NTB (Sporten) on Thursday, which is untimely news for Neil Lennon ahead of the Old Firm derby.
In the comments thread of his tweet relaying this Ajer update, Devlin stated that he thinks the Norway international is the Hoops’ best centre-back, and makes the difficult stuff looks easy.

The 21-year-old has made a huge 49 appearances for the Hoops this season, and has adapted well to becoming a defender having initially arrived at the club as a midfielder – despite his admirable transition, these supporters still aren’t happy to find praise for Ajer.
